Be a Green Button Leader with a Seat on the GBA Board

Collaborate to drive the adoption of open,
standards-based Energy Data Access and Sharing

The Green Button Alliance is now accepting nominations from its Participating Member companies to fill two seats on the Green Button Alliance’s Board of Directors for the 2026 year.

Participating Member companies’ Primary representatives will receive nomination information via email and can nominate a candidate from their company, or from another P-Member company, to run in GBA’s 2026 Board of Directors election — with voting to take-place in this quarter.

Participating Member employees are also welcome to visit their Member Compass to submit a nomination:

All employees of Participating Member companies are eligible to be nominated to run for a seat on the GBA’s Board of Directors.

The two seats available for Participating Member company representation include:

A two-year seat — for the candidate garnering the most votes.
A one-year seat — for the candidate with the next-most number of votes.

Nominations will close on 17 October 2025 with the election beginning on 20 November 2025. Election results will be announced following the election.

The two new Directors will commence their positions on the Green Button Alliance’s Board of Directors on 01 January 2026.
