Green Button Alliance Announces 2026 Board of Directors Election Winners
Representatives from GBA Participating Member Companies Itron and Logical Buildings Elected to Green Button Alliance's Board of Directors
November 17, 2025 - The Green Button Alliance (GBA), which fosters the development, compliance, and adoption of the industry’s Green Button™ energy and water utility data-access and -sharing protocol, today announced the results of its 2026 Board of Directors election. Luke Scheidler, Sr. Product Manager, Distributed Energy Management, Itron was re-elected by GBA’s Participating Membership to serve in another two-year seat (2026-2027) and Zohra Roy, Director of Product Marketing and Communications, Logical Buildings was elected to a one-year seat (2026). Mr. Scheidler is currently completing his first two-year term, having previously been elected to serve on the 2024-2025 boards. Logical Buildings is a returning Participating Member company to GBA’s board, with other representatives from the company having previously been elected to the 2020-2021, 2022, and 2024 boards. The newly elected directors will commence their positions on the Green Button Alliance’s board on January 1, 2026.
“Reliable, consistent, and secure energy-data access, enabled by Green Button Connect, has never been more critical with the Cambrian explosion in AI use cases (and their hunger for energy to support them); and the intertwined climate and affordability crises facing utilities globally,” said Josh Keeling, Chairman, Green Button Alliance. “We welcome Luke and Zohra and the deep industry expertise they bring to the GBA’s Board. Their strategic guidance will be invaluable as we enter a new era for the Alliance. This is a pivotal moment for the industry and GBA has a tremendous opportunity for effectuating a positive impact. As we work to advance the Green Button standards, engage the industry, and educate stakeholders and regulators, we encourage utilities, technology providers, and those interested in collaborating in this market transformation, to join us as we chart that path.”
In October, following founding GBA chairman Syed Mir’s retirement from London Hydro, the Green Button Alliance’s board appointed Josh Keeling, UtilityAPI, as GBA’s new Chairman of the Board. The board also named new officers including Bob Champagne, BHC Global, as Vice Chair, and Victoria Wang, Enbridge Gas, as Secretary. The GBA sincerely thanks previously elected board member Laurie Palmer, ERTH Corporation, who is currently completing her 2025 board term. Laurie’s leadership, sharp insights and active participation have, and continue to, greatly benefit the GBA.
