The GBA Names New Vice Chair

Daniel Roesler, co-founder and CEO, UtilityAPI, and member of the Green Button Alliance’s Board of Directors, has been elected to serve as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of the Green Button Alliance. Roesler fills the position previously held by Mimi Zhang, Senior Product Line Manager, Itron, Inc. who served as Vice Chair of the GBA for the past two years. The GBA thanks Mimi Zhang for her insightful service and welcomes Daniel Roesler to the position!

Energy Toolbase Integrates AMS to

Enable AI-Driven Energy Storage Platform

GBA member Energy Toolbase announced it has integrated AMS AI software for operations to provide customers with AI-driven energy storage project analysis functionality. Determining the utility bill savings of an energy storage system is unique for each customer. By leveraging AMS' algorithms, Energy Toolbase now enables solar-project developers to simulate the project economics of a solar-and-storage system optimized with AMS' validated savings and financial performance guarantee.

ZOME and WEC to Develop Blockchain Transactive Energy Platform for Global Energy Market

GBA member ZOME Energy Networks , a leader in residential and commercial grid-orchestration solutions, and the World Energy Consortium (WEC), announced an agreement to develop a blockchain transactive-energy protocol, platform, and ecosystem. “Integrating real-time grid orchestration with wholesale energy pricing is pivotal to the success of transactive energy,” said Dr. Alex Papalexopoulos, Chairman & CEO, ZOME. “With ZOME’s expertise in energy-management control, and WEC’s blockchain technology and token economy, we are well-positioned to be first-to-market with a real-world transactive-energy platform.” ZOME and WEC will launch a pilot program by end-of-year with market availability scheduled for 2020.

GBA Educates at NYS DPS Green Button Connect Working Group

On 21 February, GBA staff and members of the GBA, participated in a New York State Department of Public Service-hosted Green Button Connect working group meeting. The well-attended meeting covered Green Button Connect activity in New York; GBA's Executive Director and Vice Chair provided an overview and technical review of the Green Button Connect platform; and GBA sponsor member Con Edison demonstrated its Green Button Connect "Share My Data" application. Participants also discussed a framework for data privacy.

Social Solar Named a Cleantech Open Northeast Finalist

Social Solar enables consumers to easily choose, purchase, and utilize local renewable energy while also providing benefits to partners and energy suppliers. As a green-energy solution innovator, Social Solar, in October, competed in the 2018 Cleantech Open Northeast division of the Cleantech Open , the world's largest cleantech business accelerator program and competition. After being selected as a semi-finalist, Social Social's CEO & co-founder, Donna Sanders, went on to deliver a winning pitch and Social Solar was named as one of the finalists of the Cleantech Open Northeast 2018. GBA's Upcoming All-Member Meetings

The GBA hosts the OpenADE Task Force technical meetings every Tuesday at 3:00pm ET, both GBA members and non-members are invited to attend. Visit the GBA's online calendar for logistics.

The GBA's monthly Green Button Global Marketing Meetings occur the first Wednesday of the month at 3:00pm ET. The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, 06 March. All GBA members are invited to attend this 30-minute meeting. Participation logistics will be emailed—or login to download the information.
