About the New Jersey Future Energy Transmission Conference
As New Jersey advances its Energy Master Plan (EMP) to achieve a clean, reliable, and resilient energy future, strategic collaboration among key stakeholders is crucial to modernizing the state’s power transmission infrastructure. The New Jersey Future Energy Transmission Conference serves as a premier industry-driven forum, uniting electric utilities, regulatory agencies, policymakers, and academic institutions to address the challenges and opportunities in grid modernization, renewable energy integration, energy storage, and emerging transmission technologies. With the State’s commitment to 100% clean energy by 2035, this conference will explore how transmission enhancements can support New Jersey’s ambitious goals while ensuring grid reliability and affordability.
This conference, a joint event by NJIT and Rowan University, will bring together leaders from PSEG, JCP&L, Atlantic City Electric, Orange & Rockland, NJBPU, PJM, and NJEDA to discuss policy frameworks, technological advancements, and infrastructure investments needed to align with the EMP.
A key focus of the conference is to emphasize the vital role of universities in supporting the power sector through cutting-edge research, workforce development, and educational programs. Additionally, a poster session will showcase groundbreaking research by students, with selected papers eligible for publication in IEEE Xplore, further bridging the gap between academia and industry.
The New Jersey Future Energy Transmission Conference 2025 will bring together leaders from electric utilities, government, and academia to discuss future energy transmission of NJ.
