Green Button Alliance Members to Impart Expertise at DistribuTECH 2018

Energy Industry Thought-Leaders to Educate on Enabling Secure Access to, and Sharing of, Customer Energy Data

San Antonio, Texas, January 22, 2018–The Green Button Alliance (GBA), which fosters the development, compliance, and wide-spread adoption of the Green Button standard, today announced that members of the GBA, whom are comprised of energy industry thought-leaders, will be on-hand this week to impart expertise in the Green Button Alliance’s booth #3247 and during an energy data-access panel discussion today at the Smart Energy Consumer Collaborative’s Consumer Symposium, co-located with DistribuTECH. The Green Button Alliance will also hold its Annual General Meeting this week in San Antonio, which will gather leading utilities, governmental departments and agencies, and solution providers to discuss the forward movement of the industry standard Green Button energy data-access protocol; best-practices for enabling broad consumer access to, and sharing of, their energy data; as well as will highlight successful implementation models and innovative new services.

Green Button Alliance Activities During DistribuTECH 2018

Today, members of the Green Button Alliance, including the Ontario Ministry of Energy and Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E), will participate on the “Enabling Consumers with Access, Choice and Control of their Energy Data” panel, moderated by Jeremy J. Roberts, General Manager, GBA at the Smart Energy Consumer Collaborative’s (SECC) 2018 Consumer Symposium, “Transforming the Customer Relationship,” co-located with DistribuTECH and taking-place in Room 206AB on the meeting level at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center.

This week, the Green Button Alliance will exhibit in Booth #3247 in the Exhibition Hall at DistribuTECH, from January 23–25. GBA members will be on-hand to provide expert insight about standards-based Green Button energy-usage-data access; the secure, automated data sharing with third-party solution providers; utility implementation models; and Green Button Certification programs. GBA member utility, London Hydro, will offer an educational demonstration showcasing the value of Green Button behind-the-meter.

The Green Button Alliance will also hold its Annual General Meeting, sponsored by participating member ENGIE, at the Menger Hotel in San Antonio on January 24, from 7:30-10:00am. Green Button industry thought-leaders will gather to discuss implementation successes, new developments, and the path forward for standards-based Green Button energy-usage data, implementations, and applications internationally.
